BETWEEN OBI, TINUBU, ATIKU, THE SUPREME COURT AND TRUE PATRIOTS

    L-R: Atiku; Tinubu; Obi.

For the avoidance of misrepresentation, before and during the court proceedings of the presidential election cases, and at the time of this publication, I am a civil member of the Peter Obi Movement popularly known as The Obidient Movement.

The Movement stirred hope in most of us young Nigerians for the Nigeria we crave.

A working Nigeria.

Peter Obi showed attributes of a good leader campaigning on facts and figures and stating practical approaches to restoring Nigeria to her predestined glory.

He initiated a reset in the thats-how-its-done approach of the typical Nigerian politicians who instigated violence and other corrupt practices to win elections.

He came clean.

I continue to like the man and would continue to support his political career if he chooses to run again.

I have followed political developments locally and internationally for over two decades of my life.

Dear readers, Victor Cosmas Blog, formally known as Tomorrow Leaders Forum Blog was born nearly two decades ago to provide a platform for me to politely and respectfully air my views and contributions for a better Nigeria.

Today, we have the United States, United Kingdom, Nigeria, Canada, France, Germany and even Russia as our top readers among over 30 countries across the world where our blog is read.

We are completely grateful to those who read, comment, share and email us to both commend and criticize our thoughts.

Thank you to you all.

In 2019, I supported His Excellency Waziri Atiku Abubakar a candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) against Former President Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressive Congress (APC).

An election that controversially went to APC's Buhari.

But Nigeria continued!

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu showed amazing leadership in Lagos.

His foresight leadership brought Lagos State on the global map till date.

At some point Tinubu's name became nearly equivalent by popularity to the president of Nigeria in his tenure.

Tinubu have discovered several leaders today that Nigeria undeniably respect;

Former vice president, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Raji Fashola, Akinwunmi Ambode, amongst others.

Peter Obi, Asiwaju and Atiku were all qualified to run.

In politics, the antics of the politicians should never be taken personal by ordinary citizens for a few instances I'd cite here;

Nyesom Wike was a key member of the PDP, today he's serving in an APC administration.

Peter Obi, my preferred Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) was a member of the PDP.

Waziri Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP was a one time member of the APC.

What can we say of this!

Names calling, character attacks are mere political gimmicks to distract the attention of the electorates and channel it to favourable directions.

A civilized people are a people who make unadulterated researches into the persons and achievements of not only their preferred candidate but all candidates who desire to navigate their national ship.

Now to the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court is the highest court in Nigeria where her Judgement is final and is accepted as the judgement of God.

Those who engage the wisdom of this court, Peter Obi and Waziri Atiku Abubakar know this fact.

PLEASE DO NOT BE THE ONLY ONE WHO DON'T.

I have posted on my X channel, (@Victorcosmas) prior to the October 26 Supreme Court judgement that I would stay with the judgement that emanates from the apex court processes.

And that is where I stand.

Do I mean that Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election, No.

I mean that the court, all over the world including the United States of America and the UK do not rely on sentiments and emotions to determine a matter but on facts proven beyond reasonable doubts in accordance with the constitution until unfavorable phrases are amended by the National Assembly.

Sadly, it is what it is.

From my observation and as one who is currently in court for justice over a matter, I advice the Judiciary to come up with laws that would ameliorate or annihilate delay tactics employed by lawyers to waste the time of a complainant from gathering evidences to prove their case within the law's time frame, as we saw in the Chicago State University and FBI instances.

All these being said and the Supreme Court Judgement given, now is time to know true Patriots.

A patriot is someone whose love for country supersedes political and ethnic background.

They are those whose national obsession overshadows even love for self.

Ever willing to defend the unity, peace and progress of their nation even with their lives.

We saw examples in Ukraine and Israel where well-to-do citizens in diaspora returned home to fight for their countries.

However dilapidated their country, they support with all their strength, the standing position and continued existence of their nation.

I'm a Patriot.

Nigeria will always be first for and to me.

I will support the constituted authority of the day and continue to give my support to Nigeria's leadership whether he was my candidate at the the poll or not.

We would first have a Nigeria of any shape, before we can adjust it to the Nigeria of our dreams.

I call on all Nigerians to sheath their swords and join hands to build a greater Nigeria.

I call on the good man, Peter Obi and Waziri Atiku Abubakar to congratulate President Tinubu and in the interest of Nigeria give his government their support.

Congratulations President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu my president.

Nigerians, lets build Nigeria.
