THE DIGITAL ECONOMY

                        Source: Vietnam+

In every economic era, work change form.

From stone age, when enormous human effort was consumed.

Then, the industrial age, where physical presence at a brick and mortar was required.

Now is the computer age, tailoring our dealings into the Digital Economy.

The COVID ushered in this era.

Money went digital.

It went zeros and ones.

It went boundless.

In my April 7, 2020 blog titled CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019, COVID-19 PANDEMIC: THE BEGINNING OF AN ERA, I delineated the beginning of an era.

I mentioned time had change before our eyes.

We entered new times, new markets, new strategies, new businesses and a new economy.

A new phase.

New investments.

New industries.

The sad reality with each new phase is that it phases out those who are set in their ways.

The bible explained this; My People (God's people) perish for lack of knowledge.

Prayer is not the solution, Nigeria.

Prayer is not the solution, Africa.

Because again the book said, "of the sons of Issachar who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do".

Understanding the times!

Each time, comes with what needs to be done.

In the digital economy, all businesses that wishes to survive must understand and start to do what needs to be done.

Get understanding of digital economy, its component and its transactional medium.

An understanding of how to legitimately make genuine incomes from digital technologies.

If you are an existing business, you must gather understanding as well, on how you can easily deliver your goods and services to your customers at their comfort and getting paid without having to know the customer physically or intimately.

I tell you what!

This era will produce very young billionaires Forbes have never recorded before.

Mark Zuckerberg, 39!

Facebook.

Yes, it's the youths era.

Those who take passion in the knowledge of emerging technologies.

Successful online stores are quick replacing physical stores.

Think of Amazon.

Think of Alibaba.

With the right bank card details keyed into acceptable payment platforms your favorite gadgets, books or furniture is yours wherever you can afford it from.

They put their reputation to ensure what you ordered is what you recieved.

You only have to worry if you're dealing with a parody site, which is the major risk in the digital economy.

However with proper education, as many online stores have adopted, we can seriously reduce such risk.

Cryptocurrency or Digital Currency.

Bitcoin (BTC) is widely acceptable around prestigious online businesses across the world and it is delivering big gains both in value and in the ease of doing business globally.

No one has ever seen it with their eyes.

No one is going to stuck a lot of them in his pocket to show how wealthy they are.

It stays in an electronic wallet you can't put in your pocket.

30.6 million Naira is the current value for 1 BTC as I type this.

But you already said no one can see it!

Yes, but at anytime of your choosing, you can change it to physical money of your choice currency at the day's BTC to NAI/USD/EUR/GBP exchange rate.

You can also be a voluntary sales person to Amazon in Affiliate Marketing without resuming weekdays at their physical office.

By simply creating a free to a few dollars worth of online store embedded with links to Amazon or other successful online store's products officially, you can get a commission for any product bought through your online store from Amazon.

You only connect a redirecting link to the product on the original store and Internet Protocols would inform the store Mr AB directed the customer.

The store in turn pays you a percentage in commission into your connected bank account.

You don't have to physically have the product.

You only need that Android or Apple phone with internet that you're probably reading this from or a connected laptop.

These are not even half of it, there are so much and you may already be equip to kickoff without knowing.

So no, not everyone spending time on their phones are lazy.

And not everyone spending time on their laptops are internet scammers.

It's a question of what each one is doing on his phone or laptop.

Airline tickets.

Immigration.

Government agencies.

Information services.

Everything went digital, you can't be analog.

Upgrade, that's the update.

God bless every Victor Cosmas Blog readers worldwide.
