Peter Obi holding a New Year Press Conference |
It would show an inexistent knowledge of the remnant of our national history and complete oblivion of our Nigerian society for any right thinking Nigerian to think that Mr Peter Obi has not crossed the red line in many fronts.
Oh yes, he has.
And he continues to do so till date.
Good evening readers across the world, and happy 2025 to you all.
Thank you for always reading and sharing your thoughts on our various issues.
Yes, let me reiterate that Mr Peter Obi has continued to be a torn on the flesh of the status quo of the Nigerian political system.
Cutting out from nowhere like the biblical stone in the book of Daniel, that sprung without a hand to crumble the great statutes of gold, bronze and clay to take our politisphere by storm.
Against all odds, he has emerged from an Anambra State that has no achievements as peddled by the first-of-its-kind wailing winners of the 2023 elections, and a state without the rule of law like Governor Makinde's Oyo State to emerge one of the most relevant and loved Nigerian ever.
An Igbo man for that matter.
How dare him.
How can anyone say this troublemaker has not crossed the red line.
He sure has.
How could you be behind the red line and come into politics with money earned from the frugality of your own resourses and the prudent management of your own business capital.
A wealthy man without any track record of irregularities in business, how can anyone say Mr Obi has not crossed the red line?
How.
Tell me!
What effrontery does this Peter have to wrestle power with the owners of Nigeria, a Nigeria they clearly bought with an evidence of a C of O.
How could Mr Obi contest Nigeria with the owners, those who bought it with everyone we once thought had the genuine interest of this nation at heart, not knowing they were available for sale for the highest bidders. Activists for sale.
How can he advice our dear President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to use one of our local hospitals that he commisions from time to time for his medical routines and not to go to foreign hospitals that leaders of those nations built.
A whole President!
This seriously crosses the red line.
Yes, he did cross the red line.
What is Mr Peter even thinking, telling a whole Nigerian president to travel on bad roads like Calabar-Itu Highway or the notorious Lapai-Suleja road.
Are you wishing the president the suffering that ordinary Nigerians suffer.
This is a clear cross of the red line by Mr Peter Obi.
Mr Peter Obi crossed the red line when he came clean in a society where the primary criteria for power is a disregard of the core needs of her citizens.
Peter Obi picked and dusted an obscure and completely unknown political party, The Labour Party and registered it as a great force to be reckoned with and someone would argue that he didn't cross the red line.
He did.
If Peter Obi spoke in mute without a voice heard with just his lips moving, there are tens of millions who'd have a heart attack over his unheard message.
This is a clear crossing of the red line.
His ambition alone to return Nigeria to the people is a serious threat to those who've pocketed it as their personal enterprise and someone would say he hasn't crossed the red line.
Let me say to you Mr Peter Obi, if others are scared to face you, that you are a threat to the current political system and class who've plundered this nation into rags.
Again, you carry the hope of a great Nigeria and that is a red line in itself.
You also continue to relentlessly offer support and key ideas that can help move the Nigerian nation forward from the stagnant position that corrupt politicians, past and present, have dragged the nation into.
To make matters worse, you have refused to splurge millions of your dollars to buy Nigerian electorates and the election conducting bodies, even though you're a global rich man.
You are a stingy man who refused to throw money during your election campaigns to lure voters, with hope to recover your investment, one million fold when you land in Aso Rock.
That's how you crossed the red line.
You crossed the red line by continually showing genuine affection to the truly forgotten, battered and downtrodden Nigerians who are suffering from the pangs of hunger, insecurity and poverty in both the Northern Nigeria where you lost in the 2023 elections and everywhere else where your kind heart sees a need.
You crossed the red line, by being a loving and promising Nigerian, a class act and a Nigerian of a kind.
I have the feeling that if you, Mr Peter holds a red flag while crossing the red line, you would do more for Nigeria than you have already done.
You crossed the red line by convincing Nigerians beyond any doubt, that a great and prosperous Nigeria is POssible.
God bless you Mr Peter Obi for crossing the red line in flying colours.
God bless Nigeria and everywhere else.
Everything you say is true Victor. I wish more people could understand. Anne
