BEHAVIOUR AND NATIONAL SECURITY: HAPPY WORLD BEHAVIOUR ANALYSIS DAY

In one of such days, I had the second opportunity to interact with Priscilla Chizaram  Ahaiwe, a Writer, a Bookworm, a Thought Leader and Professionally, a Behavior Analysis Expert, and I tell you what! I can't actually measure the size of the knowledge I achieved and how from then forward, I had began to look critically at a person or people's overview Behaviours and their relative Actions.

My first opportunity was that Priscilla and I sat in the same classroom as secondary school classmates, lol.

It was such an amazing knowledge and One Science it is unfortunately regrettable that our Nigerian Society, or maybe Africa, mainly disregard even as we don't quite take much notice of people's deviating behaviours especially those we don't consider to be clearly outrageous in children or in a person, becoming responsible for mental irregularities costing us billions and civil problems, like that in Autism, Alzheimer's disease and the others.

Which sadly, if we had observed early in a child or any person for that matter could help prevent a catastrophic future for the child or any age person.

And which also, if we look from the security point of view, a matter of urgent concern in our society, can help avert general insecurity and unnecessary public unrest in our country.

And here is where mine and your concern lies.

As a nation, we cannot successfully detach behaviour from the state of our nation both in security and economy.

Needless to say to secure our country we must watch out for behaviours that is detrimental to our collective values, where they genuinely exist or even help correct or develop some before they become explosive.

And in my understanding, there isn't much difference in Behavior and Character, if any exist at all.

This itself can help us develop preventive policing, stopping the crime before they even happen.

The character or behaviour of a person is indicative of their actions and if we identify risky ones early enough, people can be put under radar till they had no chance or desire to carry out any size of crime.

And this, in God's Wisdom are expressed through behavioural experts called Behavioural Analysts.

How else can a society protect lives and property!

And this is only one of the multi-faceted ways in which Behavioural patterns affects our general attitude towards life.

With a standing ovation,

I, hold up a glass for Pricilla, and for every Behavioural Expert in Nigeria calling out to individuals and the government to be aware of the impact of Behaviour on our Nation.

Cheers to these Champions world wide 🌎.
