VICTOR COSMAS BLOG: THE BIG NEWS IS HERE — 13 Years of Independent Writing, Global Voice, and Peace Advocacy

18 May 2012 , thirteen years ago, I wrote my first post. “The Joy of Success.” Then came “Ideas Are All You Need,” followed by “You Can Make the Right Kind of History,”  and then, “What Is in a Woman.” After that, I wrote “A Good and True Friend,” in honour of my American friend, Ebony. Then, “Procrastination Is Certainly Why You Are Down There.” All were hits. With “My Voice for 2015: Nigeria 🇳🇬, Lets Make This Our Voice,” my August 9, 2013 blog post attracted the attention of prominent Nigerians on the former Twitter — now Elon Musk’s X . Since then, I have gone on to publish over 70 posts. But all these were born from a desire to make a contribution to Nigeria 🇳🇬 through her youths. It was to create a voice that many only wish they had — a global voice that speaks to truth, peace, and unity. 🇳🇬 Nigerian National Flag — Public Domain via Wikimedia Commons Nigeria is home to the largest number of Black people in the world. It sits beautifully in one of nature’s most curated environments. Beneath this land lie huge deposits of mineral wealth; above, live the most talented, energetic, innovative, creative and intelligent humans on earth. We are a people capable of the impossible. Our capabilities as a people are largely untapped, revealing a huge deposit of unexplored potentials. Blessedly diverse, we are naturally hospitable and accommodating — living together in faith of the reality of a great future we all see in our minds — children inclusive.  Clearly, the future is ours. But more sacrifices, dedication, commitment, trust, hope, faith and patriotism must eternally go in. There is no argument that currently we fall below our true glory, but there is also no way we will remain this way forever. Change is the only constant. As such...
