WHAT EVERYONE WHO KNOWS NIGERIA TRULY UNDERSTANDS: POWER, PAIN, POTENTIAL & THE FUTURE OF THE GIANT OF AFRICA
WHAT EVERYONE WHO KNOWS NIGERIA KNOWS ABOUT NIGERIA 🇳🇬 — A Message of Truth, Unity, Strength and Hope

Hello everyone across the world. I deeply appreciate readers from over 19 countries — including the United States, Nigeria, Russia, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Singapore, Canada, Sweden, Netherlands, Kenya, Türkiye, Ireland, UAE, Ukraine, India, Austria, Vietnam, Switzerland, and many others.
For 13 years, you have stood by us. Thank you.
GLOBAL TENSIONS & WHY NIGERIA MATTERS NOW
Today, many nations where my readers live are facing serious tensions:
The Russia–Ukraine war began February 24, 2022, causing thousands of civilian deaths and large-scale military losses.
India and its neighbour continue to experience border tensions that threaten escalation.
The Middle East — Israel, Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, Houthis — remains on edge.
US–Venezuela relations have worsened dramatically, raising global concerns.
And now, Nigeria — my home — faces rising global attention.
THE TERROR THAT HAS COST NIGERIA TENS OF THOUSANDS OF LIVES
Terror groups have ravaged Nigerian communities for years.
They have killed tens of thousands of citizens — Christians and Muslims alike — including women, children and the elderly.
Farmers have abandoned farmlands.
Industries have shut down.
Communities have been displaced.
Families have been destroyed.
Since 2009, Nigeria has spent over ₦12.6 trillion fighting insurgency. Yet the problem persists.
This raises important questions about leadership, priorities, and political will.
A MESSAGE TO PRESIDENT TINUBU AND PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP
US President Donald J. Trump recently accused the Nigerian government of being soft on Islamic terrorists committing atrocities. His words have increased tension domestically and internationally.
I appeal:
President Ahmed Bola Tinubu — Nigeria’s liberation is urgent. Decisive leadership is needed more than ever.
President Donald Trump — we ask for patience, diplomacy, and steady support for peace rather than escalation.
Nigeria can defeat terrorism domestically, if leadership matches the strength and courage of our people.
A CALL FOR PEACE — BETWEEN CHRISTIANS, MUSLIMS & ALL NATIONS
Let this be clear:
We reject religious hatred.
We reject tribal divisions.
We reject politically motivated violence.
Nigeria is 50% Christian and 50% Muslim, and both communities have suffered deeply.
Religious and tribal crises have claimed tens of thousands of lives over decades, destroyed businesses, burnt homes, and broken families.
I call for an end to bloodshed everywhere.
Let diplomacy rise above warfare.
Let peace rise above pride.
Let humanity rise above politics.
WHAT MAKES NIGERIA UNIQUELY POWERFUL (AND WHY THE WORLD CARES)
Everyone who truly knows Nigeria knows one thing:
Nigeria has one of the most energetic youth populations in the world.
Over 60% of Nigerians are under 25.
These youths are brilliant, entrepreneurial, creative and tireless.
They build startups worth $50 million to $200 million, even in hardship.
Nigeria is home to global icons:
Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Wole Soyinka, Chinua Achebe, Chimamanda Adichie, Peter Obi, Olusegun Obasanjo, David Oyedepo, and countless everyday heroes shaping the future.
NIGERIA: RICH LAND, POOR PEOPLE — THE NATION’S PARADOX
Nigeria is one of the most naturally gifted countries on Earth:
Natural Resources & Their Uses
Crude Oil — energy, petrochemicals
Gold — electronics, jewelry, banking reserves
Tin — soldering, electronics
Columbite / Niobium — jet engines, steel strengthening
Lead — batteries, ammunition
Zinc — alloys, galvanization
Iron Ore — steel manufacturing
Limestone — cement, construction
Gypsum — plaster, cement
Coal — power generation
Uranium — nuclear energy (untapped)
Add to this:
Vast rivers
Fertile farmland
Thick forests
A perfect climate
Beautiful beaches
Waterfalls, hills, caves, animal reserves
Nigeria is designed for wealth — yet many citizens live in poverty.
THE COST OF CORRUPTION
Corruption in Nigeria was publicly noted as early as the First Republic (1960s) and has grown since then.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari once admitted Nigeria was “fantastically corrupt.”
Today:
Youth unemployment is high
Healthcare is a luxury
Education is expensive
Security is weak
Food prices are rising
Homelessness is increasing
Nigeria, though rich, depends heavily on foreign aid, which sometimes ends up looted.
This is heartbreaking — and unacceptable.
NIGERIA’S LOST TOURISM GOLDMINE
Nigeria’s tourism potential could generate billions of dollars annually if properly harnessed.
Untapped tourism havens include:
Obudu Mountain Resort (Cross River)
Erin-Ijesha Waterfalls (Osun)
Ikogosi Warm Springs (Ekiti)
Yankari Game Reserve (Bauchi)
Zuma Rock (Abuja)
Mambilla Plateau (Taraba)
Kajuru Castle (Kaduna)
Ogbunike Caves (Anambra)
Beyond tourism, Nigeria can diversify into:
● Agriculture
● Sports
● Tech
● Creative industry
● Solid minerals
● Renewable energy
● Manufacturing
The possibilities are endless.
THE TRUTH: NIGERIA CAN STILL RISE
If every part of Nigeria worked…
If leaders prioritized security…
If corruption was crushed…
If unity replaced division…
Nigeria would be a nation others envy — not pity.
Millions of Nigerians abroad would return home.
Many wouldn't have left in the first place.
Nigeria is a beautiful home.
We only need leadership to match our potential.
A FINAL APPEAL
To world leaders:
Support peace, not war.
To Nigerian leaders:
Crush terrorism, end corruption, heal the land.
To Nigerians:
Let us stop defending terrorists and criminals — whether for religion, tribe, or politics.
It is wickedness, and it is destroying us.
To everyone reading:
Thank you.
