MAN TO MAN: Reno Omokri, Sowore, Tinubu and Peter Obi; Facts, Falsehoods and Political Misinformation in Nigeria
This article responds to Reno Omokris comments on Omoyele Sowore and President Bola Tinubu while addressing political misinformation and the continued attacks on Peter Obi within Nigerian politics and democratic discourse.
No, Mr Reno!
On the accusations you made against the President of Nigeria;
It is awkward to say, it is not valid in court or even among the secular population.
You're not the type of man to speak publicly without putting your facts together.
In your tirade on Mr Peter Obi, you have asked your subscribers to "fact-check" your claims.
A trademark you have aggressively adopted.
You even told President Tinubu to sue you to court if you defamed him by calling him a drug lord.
Such audacity, cannot be summoned under assumptions.
I know you think all Nigerians are plain stupid.
I mean, what can they do? they'd only join their favourite influencers on social media to drag, that's all.
The influencer makes his money, the followers slave along.
But, there is Omoyele Sowore.
At least since you found you were wrong about the president, everyone must know by this, that you know nothing about Mr Peter Obi, whom you slander daily with the same assumption with which you called the president a drug lord.
I haven't seen any video where you Mr. Reno Omokri said President Tinubu is not or is no longer a drug lord, I only wanted to blackmail him to offer me a place in his government or any other motivation.
That said, we Obidients would also want to know the sources of the misinformation with which you bash Mr Peter Obi daily for, so we can clarify that you also didn't take information from a madman.
Because once, you've peddled a false Igbo coup propaganda intended to breed distrust towards the Igbos, until deep research found that one of your brothers from Delta instigated the coup.
All these, solely aimed to stop the Unstoppable Mr Peter Obi.
We love the Igbos and we love the Deltans.
We believe that decisions are individual, not always collective.
That's why even though it is proven that Major Kaduna from your region, planned the coup you wanted to start a tribal war in the nation you claim you love for, we only cited your lack of integrity for why you don't deserve to be an Ambassador of Nigeria, not your tribe.
Let the game be fair, let Nigerians make their choice, under a transparent system.
Let people clearly lose, and let someone proudly win.
If Mr Peter Obi has the qualities of a good leader, LET THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE PREVAIL.
But then, what can make a person hold the government to ransome;
votes,
or something much more?
