Beneath this land lie huge deposits of mineral wealth; above, live the most talented, energetic, innovative, creative and intelligent humans on earth. We are a people capable of the impossible. Our capabilities as a people are largely untapped, revealing a huge deposit of unexplored potentials. Blessedly diverse, we are naturally hospitable and accommodating — living together in faith of the reality of a great future we all see in our minds — children inclusive.  Clearly, the future is ours. But more sacrifices, dedication, commitment, trust, hope, faith and patriotism must eternally go in. A voice eases pains, tensions, frustrations and actions and where a voice is mute, like an earthquake , everything would seem normal for a long while but just when no one is expecting, it goes completely wrong even resulting in huge destruction of properties and lives. Photo credit:  google.com A voice lets go tension and pressure in the same way the ground tears apart to ease the earth of excess tension and pressure it had withheld for a very long time than it can bear, in a devastating earthquake. The outcome is usually enormous and nearly irreparable and the little that can be done usually almost wipe the affected nation's treasury. The people are traumatised and it takes a very long time for life to go back to normal in those region of the world. This is the exact same way it is when the voices of people are taken away. February twenty-third is the presidential election of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and so I feel a strong need to put this written note in the archive of history. It is important you vote ! Even the election that brought President Donald Trump of the United States to power is still questioned, just like ours have been.  I am not trying to uphold electoral malpractices or give excuses for why we can't be the first or among the few to have one, I am only saying it is wrong to slam "Not Credible" on our electoral procedures.  That is not fair!
