Condemning Violence, Choosing Humanity: A Call Beyond War
The recent gun attack at a hotel in Washington, D.C., during the White House Correspondents' Association Dinner—where President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other dignitaries were present—is deeply troubling.
I strongly condemn this act of violence.
At a time when global tensions remain high, such incidents remind us how fragile peace truly is. It is also a moment to express gratitude for the safety of lives preserved, even if only one.
A Coincidence That Speaks Loudly
It is both striking and sobering that this incident coincides with the release of my latest book:
“THE POPE WOULD NEVER ENDORSE WAR — Even When God Commanded Some”
This is more than coincidence—it is a call to reflection.
No Justification for Violence
Whether political, military, religious, or civil—violence remains violence.
There are no acceptable forms of it.
Behind every act of violence are broken families, lost futures, and lives cut short. There are no true victors in war—only loss.
A Call to Leaders and Citizens
This work challenges global leaders, religious authorities, and citizens everywhere to reject war not just in words, but in action.
It calls for:
- Dialogue over destruction
- Accountability over aggression
- Democracy over domination
And it urges moral and spiritual leaders to stand boldly against violence in all its forms.
A Vision for Humanity
Imagine a world where arms are laid down, violence is abandoned, and peace becomes policy—not just rhetoric.
War is not only destructive—it is dehumanizing. Humanity must move beyond it.
Stand for Peace. Take Action.
If you believe in a world without war…
If you believe faith should never justify violence…
If you believe humanity must do better…
Then this book is for you.
